Pre-B disconnector in a shadow2

has anyone installed a pre-B disconnector in a shadow2? If so, did it just drop in or was there any mod to make it fit?

I tried to install one yesterday, and failed miserably. It didn't just drop in, the trigger bar wouldn't release when the trigger is completely pulled back, so I tried removing some material on the top face. Might very have bubbaed the new disco.

If it works it would make a heck of a trigger in SA. The reset would be almost nothing.

Done one recently. It's not a drop-in fit as you have figured out.

You may have to take a little off the top, which you have already done. Then you need to remove some material under the wings. Knock down a little off the underside of the wings, reassemble and repeat until it clears the trigger bar. You "may" have to remove a little bit of material on the inner hook area but only if required.

Works like a charm now. I thought I took too much material, but it turns out I had to remove a lot more. Was doing by hand, then switched to a dremel. Without the dremel I think I would have been filing and sanding for a year.

The reset is definitely shorter. About 1mm I think. Gonna order another one for my Shadow1 next time I order.

No probs. I think I spent about 2hrs trying to figure it out and eventually fitting it. I was paranoid that I would remove too much and make a light paperweight. It does feel like a very short reset even though it's not a whole lot..
