Hi all,
Picked up a 1931 FN superposed 12 ga shotgun and was wondering if anybody has and good info on these.
It's full/modified has double triggers, looks to be factory option Hawkins recoil pad, light engraving (would make it a pigeon?) even the screws are engraved.

Never really heard of a FN only superposed. Browning is not on the gun anywhere.

Anybody obtained a factory letter from browning or FN?
This one is serial # 524

Fabrique Nationale is one of the largest sporting and small arms company in the world. Originally a partnership of a number of Liege's more prominent gunmakers from the 1890's, but most especially Henri Pieper. FN is the company John Browning contracted to build his designs when he decided to go out on his own. Ultimately FN bought the Browning name as well as Winchester.

They produced the J M Browning Superposed design under their own name for sale, I believe, but could be corrected, in certain markets not covered by their agreement with Browning.

That's a extremely brief history. What else do you want to know?

Was wondering if anybody had more info about getting specific history from fn about my specific shotgun.
One of the first off the line
