I just notified that McGowen barrels can supply prechambered/threaded barrels for the Marlin XL7. These rifles use a barrel nut install just like a Savage so a swap is just as straightforward.
I think the nut will use the same wrench (maybe someone can confirm for me)
If you go to www.mysticprecision.com and click on barrels, you can go to the McGowen section for all the possible options including pricing, cals, chamberings, twists, and contours.
With the sale going to till the end of the year, great time to pick up some new fun for these Marlins.
