If you have access to the Lego World "parts bin" (in which you order any number and quantity of whatever brick you need), you should have pretty much everything.

Thats absolutely incredible. It would be awesome to build that. If Lego were to produce that I would buy it for sure. They probably think it projects a bad image though

This thread got me thinking, IF one was to put together something similar, but in metal (say the blocks were reinforced with either pins or allen screws at strategic locations) AND someone figured out how to install a firing pin and firing pin spring, simple bolt head as well as a single piece barrel (say in 22LR to keep pressures reasonable).

Which one of the (presumably hundreds) of individual blocks would be considered the "receiver" ?
