Precision rifle newbie

Hi, I have a few questions about building a "precision rig" I have a savage 10fp .308. I have up for sale right now, but Im having second thoughts. I would like to know if I could get a Mcmillian stock for it, or should I sell it and buy a Remington 700 which I know I can get a Mcmillian stock for? I have checked the Mcmillian web site and I could not find anything about stocks for a Savage.

Yes, you can get a McM stock for it, but be prepared to wait for 6 months. There are many many similar stocks out there, including Robertson Composities (Canadian) worthy of considering.

If you look through a few of the recent threads on tactical stocks, you will see other options mentioned as well.
