Precision rifle training day

Does anyone have fig 11 and 12 targets for this?i'd like to have the actual targets not just bullseyes if possible. Also what are the timings, who all is coming and the most important one....where the heck is the range?

What is the start and end time going to be??

Also how much ammo should we bring out????

Is this going to be all Service Rifle, or half Service, half Tac Rifle??

BTW, Slavex, that 10.5" upper runs FLAWLESSLY. Might have to lend it to you for the Tac Response courses!!!!!:D

Thx. SKBY.

well we can't start shooting before 10am, so how about we gather around that time. I have to be there to do some club work with 999 at 9:30am.
As for ammo????????????? I have no idea how much. and I don't have any targets either. all I have are ISPC targets unfortunately.
to get to the club check the map at www.abbotsfordfishandgameclub.org

good idea posting this in SR as well.

I'm out for this Saturday (I will be at a welding course, and as I am the instructor, I can't bow out!), but I am interested in future sessions. What sort of equipment? For TAC, I would think a semi, and a few mags, and at least 100 rounds.
For Long Range, probably a bolter is better? Scoped hunting rifle perhaps?
Have a good shoot, guys!

Seriously guys, I would really like to attend this but there is not enough info to justify a four hour drive one way. Service rifle ok, have one. How many rounds required? What ranges? Are scopes required or optional? Any service pistol that day? How many figure 11/12's required for the day?
Tactical I am not sure on. What is required for that?

I wish there was something like that in Ontario. I've always wanted to have precision rifle training. I learned to shoot from my Dad and lots of practice on my own.

ok max range is 100 yds, scope or iron sights, up to you. I would think that Longshot is going to first off cover the basics, proper positions etc. those are the things that win matches, and are the most important. All the fancy gear means nothing if you can't hold the gun properly and pull the trigger without yanking it. I'll be using a borrowed Aimpoint I think (have nothing else to put on it), so if it doesn't work for what we are doing, that's my loss.
Why don't people post what they'd like to see at this training day, and we'll see what Longshot has to say about it.

Shooting positions are the key to success.I know I need more practice in the different positions.

Breathing, target aquisition, and mental attitude on the line are important as well.

Maybe Stargate boy :)D:p) can give us his wisdom & insight on these as they pertain to Service condition shooting.

SKBY.

I would also think about bringing a mat of some type to sit/knee/lay on.I'm sure it will be cold and it might save your ass.
If you have a spotting scope bring that too.

I'd like to pitch in for doing a primer on the Tac Rifle stuff as well. Do the precision/service stuff in the morning and then do a bit of moving around later in the afternoon working on getting gear squared away, mag changes, and some moving and shooting. Possibly set up a stage or two to freshen up everybody on how the game is played and the scoring system. Bring a few mags, a sling and some way to carry at least a couple of the mags. A bunch of ammo wouldn't be a bad idea either.

movement and such might not be possible, same for stages, as it's a general day at the range and their will likely be other shooters present. There won't be any precision stuff happening at this one, this will be all Service/Tac rifle stuff.
