Price out a Barnard action in a Robertson stock with all the bells and whistles including a scope rail. Add $500-$600 for a barrel (installed) and you will be under $4000 for a custom built rifle. Your choice of barrel, contour, twist, caliber, chamber. Not what someone else feels is the best.

Remington 700 sendero

I ened up buying a sendero 7mm mag. The lighter weapon for carrying when hunting was the reason for the choice. I want a Sw cope so should hit the price quick
