Precision Rimfire Fun Shoot
Date: Sunday 18 Oct 15
Registration: 1000 hrs, Safety Briefing 1020 hrs, Fun Shoot starts at 1030 hrs.
Round Count: 34 Minimum
.22 Long Rifles Only. .22 Magnum, 17 HMR, etc will not be permitted. Rifles should be fitted with a detachable magazine the can hold a minimum of 5 rounds. The rifle should be equipped with magnifying optics with a minimum of 5 power. Spotting optics such as spotting scope or binoculars may be used.
Shooting will be done from the prone unsupported, prone supported and standing positions. Shooter must shoot from the specified position unless they are physically unable. Any shooter that is physically unable to shoot from the specified position will be accommodated in a manner agreed upon by the Match Director.
Stages 1 to 7 will be shot in relays. These stages will be scored using a point system. Stages involve Cold Bore Shot, Grouping, Speed Drill, Know Your Limits and more. Round count is 29 rounds and the round count for each stage will be specified.
Stage 8 will be shot individually and is a timed stage. A minimum of 5 rounds are required for Stage 8 but more rounds may be required if first round hits are not achieved. Time ends when all 5 targets are hit. In the event of a tie in Stages 1 to 7, the fastest time for Stage 8 will determine the winner.
Field supports may be used except when not permitted in the stage description. Field supports include bipods, sandbags, rucksacks and shooting sticks. Mechanical front supports, rear bags, monopods or any other rear support is not permitted. Shooting mats or similar are permitted.
The fun shoot will be cancelled if it is raining hard enough to interfere with the paper targets on the morning of 18 Oct 15.
Pre-registration is required as targets will only be printed for registered shooters. Maximum of 20 shooters. To pre-register send an email to cstep34@yahoo.ca. Please put Rimfire Shoot as the subject of the email.
