Precision semiautos?

How about the Sig sniper? I hear it was expensive. Is it still available? If not, can you fit a custom longer bbl onto the Black Special? I'm not sure what you'd do with the stock.

AFAIK they are longer available (at least in Canada).

There are a few around, and the odd one shows up in the EE Forum.

But be prepared to fork over around $10,000.00 for one.................

SKBY.

there was a sig sniper rifle at CRAFM last month i dont know if they still have it but the group they had shoot with it was VERY impressive

If you don't mind buying used... there's a "few" HK SL7 floating around. They are pretty nice as far as 308 goes.

That HK's pretty nice. I don't know anything about them. How would they compare against an M305 ie price/accuracy etc. are they restricted? Sorry for the hijack:)

its prohib by name but it dosent really change anything

The bullpup configuration allows a compact design while still maintaining a 26" barrel. The US Army M24 has a 24" barrel and is over 7" longer. The WA2000 fires from a closed bolt and uses a bolt with 7 locking lugs. Only 72 total rifles were produced in 2 different variants of which there were only approximately 15 imported into the USA.

The WA2000 is going for about $75,000 NIB in the US.
It was around 9 or 10 grand when it came out. Really nice looking rifle. Good luck getting one. But if you have the money.... I guess anything is possible.
