Sad to read that. I wrote a few articles for that magazine. Had a few others I had been meaning to write, but never found the time. That old cliche about putting things off...
WOW !!
What a sad letter, It always bring a tear to my eyes when I see business closing. Specially a + 50 years old compagny , Best luck to all of them
I guess all my years of back issues before the internet are collector items now.
Once the internet arrived I gave up subbing ages ago and stopped buying newspapers.
Well its a sad story indeed, but that magazine got kind of boring and to technical ever since my bfavorite columnist Calfee stopped writing his articles IMHO. MAN he was interesting to read. With way more than 50% pages of that madazine content belonging to advertizing (lots of money there!) and good 6 + pages wasted to matches results no wonder there was not enough space for the interesting stuff. Borrowing those to read from Mick McPhee was my way to keep in touch with him and have interesting time to discuss about various new projects.
