Nice looking rifle, one of mine is similar, not as nice, but still fun.

I managed to reach out to 1,100m with my $hitty Millett, lol!

Had 4 of them at one point in time, but I've since moved on.

Haha ive been shooting my S&Bs for like 8+years . I've been pretty spoiled in the optics department .. or maybe I'm just older then I realized now hahaha .

Fine looking rifle you've got there:cool::cool:

It's hard to go back after experiencing good glass, that's why I've refrained from checking out the likes of the NF Beast and Premier/TT. If I did, my wife would have my balls.

Still, it blows my mind how far I managed to get with that Millett, lol!

From a few years ago, some of these have moved around or replaced:

Picked up a Boyds stock and Gladys Armories bolt knob for my Savage. A little milling to fit the bottom metal and heavy barrel, and a paintjob, and good to go!

What do you think about the Leupold scope so far?

Well aside from the massive turrets (still can't figure out why.. someone wearing snowmobile mitts and still feel the clicks?) I'm really liking it. Very clear and usable at the lowest setting. Unlike some other ffp with high magnification I've looked through, crosshairs are still sharp at all ranges with my eyes. Beautiful glass. It's mil/mil which I'm starting to get used to now.

Good stuff, how do you like the "second rev" drop down indicator? and how did you find the "eye box" some reviewers commented that it was tight from low to high power?
With 15 MILs,the TMR reticle & it's price point, I can see me getting one. :)

I haven't had a chance to really make use of it fully. But the rev is different than any scope I've used and is pretty simple. Eye box is on par with any of the vx3s I use on my hunting rifles. I'm still toying with it. Going to reach out now that the snow is gone. Lots of negative ish reviews on these. I think its great glass for the price.

Got it, take your time, the turrets remind me of Steiner. Odd, I didn't read any "real" negative reviews, the only one being the eye box. Leupold scopes "can be" hit & miss, but this line seems to be different. Good luck & thanks.
