Precision/Sniper/Tactical

This is one of my favorite rifles ...

It started off as a plain old Tikka T3 Tactical then went into an XLR stock and is now sitting in a Robertson Tactical stock. I haven't done any of Underthegun's challenges yet but I can confidently say it's a sub-moa rifle with near 1/2moa groups at 300m. As the snow melts I'll be stretching it's legs further.

Well we had a 30-40kph crosswind. We managed to hit at 1200 meters with my buddies 308, and he was at 11moa of windage.

I hit at 1300 with my .338, and I was at 6MOA of windage. The wind was something fierce, and the lower ranges and roads were muddy enough for me to not want to try in my truck that day, but otherwise it was pretty impressive. I need to drive downrange one day and check out the target stands.

Re: painting the gongs, that wasn't actually me, must have been the guys on Saturday that did it, but I'll bring some rattle cans and target repair hardware for range use next time I'm up, just need to know the chain/ shackle size.

How did the chinchagas shoot in that wind Kevin?

I actually only had 5 chinchagas loaded at the time, and most of my reloading gear is still in storage since I have to build a loading bench for the new place to work on, so I ended up using 270gr Lost River Ballistics projectiles, and they bucked the wind incredibly well, while being about 30% less drop than my 300gr SMK projectile loads, which at 1300 makes a big difference haha.

I think I may have 30 or 40 of the 300gr chinchagas left, once I get them loaded up I'll post up on how they fare at ELR.

I think I went through 45 cartridges. Plenty of hits at 300, 400, 500, 600, 1100, 1200, and 1300. Not too shabby for an Ontario boy haha! :d I'm particularily pleased with Gunslingr and my performance on the 1100 meter gong, which is half hidden. Second shot hits for both of us, and both our range cards were missing data for that distance haha... We make a good shooter spotter team. :sniper:
