Precision Stocks

I ordered an A-5 directly from McMillan and came right to my door. That way you can get the finish options you want. Alberta Tactical Rifle carries McMillan stocks but if he has any in stock, it may not be what you are looking for. I am sure there are others. If they don't or whoever carries them do not have what you are looking for, they likely will order them from McMillan anyway. I have had H-S Precision stocks and every one had loose swivel studs and a couple had the stud pull right from the stock. In my opinion a H-S Precision doesn't compare to McMillan.

I find the pricing form on McMillan's website more than confusing!

Say I want to order an EDGE, It says
full inlet: 407$
weight system (adds 7oz): 83$

What does that mean? the stock is 407$ or the inleting itself is 407$ and the stock costs ?$ On top of that it says it is not available with pad? Why not?

You really should contact Robertson Composites. Their complete line of stocks is not on their website, and they make an outstanding stock right here in Canada. Ian is also an outstanding ambassador for shooting sports in Canada and has a reputation for making some of the world's finest stocks.

I would not rule out an AICS just yet. My last stock was the MCM A5 it was ok but I found way more value in the AICS 2.0 The AICS stock already has a detachable mag system. The folding stock is a real advantage for back packing and vehicle deployment. The overall construction is rugged and very durable. The skin color can be easily changed to suit your environment or your cosmetic taste. Also if you ever bang up your rifle and ruin one of the skins it can easily be replaced. (No Painting) Another advantage is the V-block design. AI and most users out there agree that there is no need to bed the rifle, although there are some that would disagree. In my experience, I don't see it being the end all be all, It's still a 1 MOA rifle without.

Check it out,

+1

ask Ian for a pic of his tactical stock. This of it as an improved A5- It's awsome.

There's also the GBF which is a bit like the A-5

I've emailed Robertson last week, I guess they will reply later this week. I'd really like the GBF but only to replace my A-5 and I can't keep the A-5 while waiting for the GBF(I couldn't pay for it :)), and from what I understand the delivery on a Robertson stock is 4+months?. I'd have to put off shooting while waiting for the stock :(

Here is a picture of the Robertson Tactical stock .
