Yes you are correct but I dont have one of them but I guess I could take the Rossi 45 Colt instead. I think my old PCMR has more cool factor though.

No question on the cool factor of the old 94 that once helped guard our country. That's the way I fell about mine, also.
But I sure like that 1894 44 mag.
Kamlooky likes it better with the classic Texas Weaver K3 scope I have on it righ now. But when I am done deciding on what bullets to use, after having the rifle for at least fifteen years, and thousands of shots through it, the sights will return to the Williams aperature.

My open-sighted Win 88 .308 is fun to putz around with, but I'm liable to take the Tikka T3 .25-06 loaded with 60gr FP's and a few grains of BD in case I stumble across a few rabbits

These days I use my 45 Colt Mdl 94 Trapper with the 16" barrel. I load the 300gr bullets hot in case a bear wants to eat me. If I shoot at the range I mostly use standard 45 COlt loads with cast bullets.

My legendary Frontiersman Winchester m94 in 38-55, Firesight on front, Aperture on the rear, and loaded with a 285 grain Cast GC at 1700 fps. Shot my second biggest Whitetail with this one. Eagleye.

I also like packing my light weight T/C Contender carbines depending on where I am or what we are doing I have packed 22LR/223/308Bellm/375JDJ/10mm/45 Colt/45-70...

Here are a couple of pic's 1) my two son's snowshoeing 2) me and the little guy, we have a Contender carbine with us chambered in 375 Win just prior to it getting rechambered to 375JDJ these rifles are very light weight and easy to pack.
