preparing unfinished reciever for 10/22

hey all. just saw an item for sale in the exchange described as being 80 percent complete. the final 20 percent of the work completed by the end user. so what actually goes into the process of preparing a non-gun to become a gun? can a fella just buy one and drop in his bolt and trigger group and whatnot and have a fully functional gun or is there still machining or confirming of dimensions?

Basically the last 20%... Is you drilling every hole in it... If one hole is off your hooped! Lol
I thought about going that way in the past, but the barrel hole.... Nooo thank you!

If you had another receiver to use as a guide and access to a milling machine you might have a better chance.

You'd have to be pretty brave to attempt it without a milling machine!

The hassle is not worth his asking price.

You can get a DAR sterling receiver for 199 or a 30MOA flattop for 225 right now.
