Seating .375 H&H bullets with my old school RockChucker was a pain and now I have a 450-400 3".
What's your preference for big presses?

I have no complaints with a Lee Classic Cast. Lee bills it as the largest frame opening in the industry at 4.97" with a stroke of 4". Should be enough for just about anything you need to do. Ram is tight, good leverage, and you can find them cheap.

I see that the new RCBS Summit is listed as having a 4 1/2" window and bushings that accept 1" thread dies. Is that long enough a stroke?

I got a Lee press in a package when I bought my 50 BMG, although I am NOT a lover of Lee products I have to say that big press is nice for the 378 Wby, 45-110 Sharps, 470 NE, 416 Rigby and of course the 50. It does make seating a whole lot easier, you don't have to slide the bullet up into the die and then chase it with the case like I used to have to do with the big stuff on my old RC. And they are cheap..........a guy can certainly justify one if only for seating the longer stuff.

Anywhere You can buy a CH4D rock crusher for a decent price I'd love to get a hand on one.
They are huge money I think over fifteen hundred us dollars. They make one better suited for long regular cases like the 505 Gibbs that is around 350. Champion I think it is called.

Thanks for the input.
If I go for the Lee i'll have to paint it .
I didn't realize that new RCBS presses have big windows and strokes to match.
I might just stick with them.
