pretty sure I got ripped off??

I am new to any kind of nicer scopes and went and bought a 3200 4-12 600 DOA for a price of 405 plus tax and feel I was ripped off and plan on returning it tomorrow...I feel stupid for not doing much reshearching on prices before hand.


so how bad was i taken ?

Not very bad. I remember them in the 379-399 range years back so at 405 today sounds fair providing it is new.:)

Not true. It's fully multicoated like the 4200, not like the 3200 which is only multicoated. Also, they have a different (better) gas filing. The new ones are more like an improved 4200.
 
Just once it would be nice to read a thread and not have someone (or in this case - 4 people) bash the original post because they bought a "whatever". Yes, Leupold makes great scopes, but truth is for the money so is the Bushnell.

Oh so TRUE, but why stop with a lowly Leupold when you could just save for a little longer and get a Schmidt & Bender (sarcasm). The Bushnell will work just fine and the price doesn't sound to bad.

I'm not trying to be argumentative, but why all the negative comments on Bushnell ?

I don't care for their entry level scopes but have had very good results from their 4000 & 4200 Elite products. I am far from being an expert shooter but I consider these to be reliable & a good value.
 
I like my Bushnell - that way when I miss "the shot" I can blame the scope, that if had had my Swarvoski or Zeiss scope I would have hit the target. ( gotta blame it on something - couldnt possibly be me, or maybe it was poor ammunition or the gun haha) For the record - I do like my Bushnell.
I remember when I was young and my dad would take his old Cooey 22 single shot - and with open sights kill a groundhog at 100 yards without a stabilizing post to rest the gun on. When I can do that I will begin to complain about my scopes:redface:
