I don't buy Rugers, because you are paying $200 for the name. It costed them $10 to make the pos everyone seems to stand behind because they don't want anyone to think they got juped.

I have never owned a Remington product and never intend to. Even their ammo is junk.
as goes for everything else in the consumer world. The 10/22 similar to the 1911 is a proven design. The gun by gun qc may vary but the fact dozens of companies make aftermarket parts and some (tac solutions, volquartsen) make 10/22 rifles is a clear indication their design is worthy.
bring back the NYLON 66
i assume you mean discontinuing, not discounting - we got ours at k-mart and that's about as discounted as you can get- fact is, it was the fudds that killed it- it wasn't made from walnut and steel, so it was a abhorrance on the shooting world- never mind the fact that it was selected as a gallery gun, never failed to feed, and was almost maintaince free- and was possibly the most advanced 22 at the time- all that doesn't matter- even the brazilian clones were almost as good as the real thing- but there are detractors for the 660 as well- just now the world is waking up to synthetic stocks, which remington had back in 59

one word. Volquartsen. Best $35 I ever spent. Can shoot a clay at 200 yards all day. Using 30rd mags on rapid fire.
X2 on the hamer and extracter
then the rifle would cost $30 more and besides then people wouldent have anything to pi$$ and mone aboutVolq makes the parts that Remington & Ruger should have originally used...........
