Prettying up my Beretta.

So, I decide at 2am I am going to pretty up my beretta. It is now 4am and I am done.

The grip, guide rod and guide spring were easy.

The hammer is usually easy, took about 5 minutes to change on my 92fs and M9. But holy hell, the 92A1 gave up a fight. Usually you push down on the hammer spring cap and the hammer spring pin falls out and you can now take the hammer spring, hammer and hammer pin out. This beretta had the hammer spring pin tapped in. Is was a ##### to punch out with a steel punch because you have to have constant pressure on the hammer spring cap. I couldn't put the frame on a vice, because it would ruined the rails etc on the top of the frame.

Some how, using both my arms to hold the punch and hammer and using my leg to push the frame against a wall, I punched the pin out. Hopefully the fiance doesnt see the marks on our bedroom wall.

For the life of me, I do not know why beretta would punch them in. The M9 and 92FS just falls out when the hammer spring cap is pushed in.

Well, job well done. Nice glass of rum for me :)

like the grip and the hammer. Question then... where did you get??? was the guide rod plastic? I have girsan parts would fit i imagine? Nice glock btw. I like my 17.

Yup, The guide rod was plastic. I changed it to metal.

I got the grips on the EE and the Hammer at Brownells. It was around $18.
 
I'd change the trigger to steel or even stainless! if yours is plastic.

But 92A1 is has a tougher look than regular 92 (esp Inox) so your make your job harder that way...lol
