My Eotech had green stuff inside the battery compartment. There must be something you can do to protect the terminals that doesn't affect rubber.
What do you guys do?

silicone grease
Good point, that is OK with rubber and I have that lying around!
Check out dielectric grease, Crappy tire or any automotive chain store will carry it. I use it on fuse terminals and electrical connections on my vintage motorcycles.
That comes in silicone, good point!

OK, that should answer my question then, thanks!

We keep aim points on a low setting even when not in use as the low draw prevents corrosion. Battery life with the comp4s is crazy long so leaving them on isn’t an issue and we just replace the batteries every two years. Not sure if battery life with your Eotech will allow this though.

My Eotech 512 is " Auto Shut-down: User controlled at 8 hours or 4 hour". The manual says that Lithium lasts longer and is better at low temperatures, although it goes dead with less warning than alkaline. Lithium is less likely to leak, which would solve my problem. And take out the battery, or loosen the battery pack when in storage also makes sense. Thanks!
