Price Check .44 Ruger Deerfield

Last ones I have seen... and they were "sold" already, were in the range of $750 - $900. If you want one and it is in good shape like you say, I would grab it...

if it is a Deerfield with the mag...$600 to $800....if you don't want it let me know where it is and I'll gladdly drop the cash..:)

Bought one today at General Gun in Windsor for $650 in used but new condition. It is the latest model. Holding it now I am a happy gun nut. When it is off catalogue I guess you pay a premium but when you find what you want and can afford it.................................yeehaw :dancingbanana:

Is it mag feed or tube feed? Really want to find a mag feed, I love my existing tube fed, wouldn't sell it.

I have a 10 year old Excalibur Vixen with all the trimmings that I would trade for a mag fed Ruger .44

It's a mag-fed...all "Deerfields" are mag fed. The tube models are called ".44 carbine" or a few early ones are marked as a "deerslayer" (I think)
I've owned 1/2 dozen of the older tube fed carbines, and they werent bad guns at all. I can say that the Deerfield model is soooo much nicer to use though. No f'ing around when unloading, and the Mini-14 style action they used for the deerfield is really nice.

Anyway, looking for something with a little more power than the Vixen I'm afraid.
