My next door neighbor has a brick of .22 CCI Velocitators. He wants to let them go for 55 dollars. I never really thought of buying a brick but hey why not. My new 597 remmy will love them i figure.

since i am new to these calibers is this a good deal?

Jetta it depends on the availability of other ammo near where you live. The Federal American Eagle that I like to retails for $18.00 a brick, plus if there is a Walmart near where you live they may have some ammo in stock that is even less than that, or Canadian Tire sells bricks of the Federal Champion for $17.99 for 525 rounds, so there alot of options around to spend your $55.00. FS

i understand but it looks like everyone on this board has plenty good to day about the cci velocitators and they also say they cycle great in the remington 597. i dont mind spending a little more

That's not too bad but cost wholesale price about 43 -45 bucks tax-in.
It works excellent so far with my 597 ....
but another 597 works excellent with federal champion 510 load.

Well then if you think that those bullets are the best , then buy the brick. Most guys pick up boxes of 50 in a variety of different ammo and go to the range and try each of them out. Then determine which one shoots best in their gun. Personally I would not use $55.00 ammo in my .22's. FS

I paid in the $50 range for the last brick I bought. Haven't seen them around much. It's all fine and dandy that Wholesale lists them for $48 (~$51 with tax), but do they have any?
$55 isn't too out of line for a brick.
