Price check: 700 5R in 308

I didnt know they made the 5R in .308 with a 20" barrel, I know they make the .223 in 20". All the ones I have seen have a 24" barrel. I bought one off the EE for $1000 unfired, sold it for the same as I decided to go with a 5R in 300 WIN MAG. P&D's price at $1125 is by far the cheapest Ive seen new for one at a dealer. Most are still listing at $1200 plus. Jump on it if you have the funds on hand.

I would love to get my hands on a 5R in wm as well but since I already own a 110 FCP HS in 338 and been shooting the 300wm as my main to go hunting caliber which I replaced this year with a much light T3 in 7mm RM to reduce weight so my choice will be narrow back to the 308 as a long range paper puncher due to its less cost prohibitive than the LM and better than the 223 in terms of ballistic wise 500 yards and up.
Not saying the 223 is not capable as I read Jerry's article on it for 1 mile but for me as an average shooter I prefer something less prone to effect by elements so at this stage the 308 will be my choice, it will be nice to own each variant of the 5R though (223, 308 and the 300wm).

LOL thanks man, Ive been combing the web trying to find this elusive 20" .308 5R thinking it would be great in a TAC-21 chassis
Yeah I did see that on Wanstalls site some time ago but just assumed it was an error. I stand corrected especially if "lil_juiced_coupe" just ordered one. I might have to take a drive out there this afternoon to check it out in person.
Well looks like the 20" 5r does exist found some info on the net looks like it threaded for muzzle brake too.
Please take some pictures of it if you can because like you I always thought the 5r only available in 24" barrel.
