A friend of mine would like to sell his Browning, here are the specs.

Browning A-Bolt 300 WM Synthetic Blued with BOSS
Limbsaver prefit recoil pad
Tasco 3x9x40 scope
180 loaded rounds

He was not much of a shooter, so I wouldn't be surprised at all if the round count would be somewhere between 50-100.

The gun is in very nice shape.

I don't have a photo to post either.

He wants $1000.00 for everything, is that in the ballpark?

I'm not looking to buy it, but were curious if this is what he should be asking?

Thanks

I dont know, but one of my hunting parnters is selling a similar get up, its a browning A-bolt 300wm syn. w/ bausch and lomb 3x9x40. the rifle and scope are in great shape its a few years old shot a couple deer with it, hasent seen more than 2 boxes of shells, and he said 700$ but thats his friend price. my self Ive never owned a browning so I dont know much about there value

The guns themselves retail new for $800-$900 and Tasco scopes are just about worthless used so I would say that your friend is a little high. If the gun is truly mint, he might have a better chance of selling it in the $700-$800
range, but he may still be in for a long wait. Also, post very good pictures of the gun, that is key. It always amazes how people ask top dollar for their guns and yet they don't post any pics. Cheers,

Patrick

*Didn't see the 180 loaded rounds, that may change things for the right buyer. He is still high, and if they are reloads that may turn a buyer off as most people like to do their own load development.

I think he is on the high side, BUT................

Is the loaded ammo all factory, or handloads? If it is premium ammo, that changes the equation somewhat in his favour.

At any rate, if he starts high, he can always go down. If he starts low, well...................

Free advice, worth what you are paying for it ;):

If that was my rig, I would leave the base(s) on the rifle and sell it bare-ass, then sell the rings, scope, and factory ammo separately. He cannot legally sell the reloads, except as components, but they do have value as components.
