Price Check for Star & Dan Wesson

Hey all, I've been looking around and can't seem to find a difinitive answer. I have the option to purchase a Dan Wesson .357mag revolver. It is just the gun, with no extra barrels, no fancy case, no stainless. The guy says "make an offer" I'm thinking (with what I've found on the boards and the internet) that $150 - $200 would be fair. what do you think?

He also has a Star 9mm pistol. Same deal with "make an offer" but I can't find much out about these guns on the boards for pricing, so I'm not sure.

any help would be appreciated!!

Depends on the model. If it's a DW with adjustable sights, it's a $200 - 350 handgun, depending on finish and condition. Same with the Star. Which model, barrel length, sights and condition all come into play. - dan

I paid 550 for mine, but it came with the original factory case and 4 barrels plus tools. Condition, 100% blue.

If the Dan Wesson is as good as mine it is a steal at that price. You do not mention which Star you are talking about. I have a Star Model B and a Star BM, both are good pistols but the Star Model B bites the web of my hand. Regards, Richard

Dan Wesson .357 model 15-2

I have a Dan Wesson model 15-2 .357 magnum with 2.5 inch and 4 inch barrels (tools included)

It's in good condition.

No fancy case here, but it has a nice Pachmayr neoprene grip.

I am a Montreal, Quebec, Police Officer and I have owned this personal weapon for 15 years. It is classified as restricted/ prohibited in the new law, so I need a buyer who as the same rights I have to own one.

To keep it here in Quebec,according to the new provincial law, I would need to register to a gun club and use my membership regularly. Otherwise I am asked to have my revolver destroyed.

This pissed me off to no end, but I have to comply. I have no intention to pay 300$ a year and attend a shooting range.

I only kept that weapon as home defense. I guess a shotgun will have to replace it...

If anybody here is interested I can make a good price for it. I only wish to some money back on my purchase. Having the gun destroyed is unappealing to me.

Buy the Dan Wesson. You can always resell for that price easily.
