Gotta clean up the vaults. I have a pair of IZH 2008 vintage Russian SKS rifles that are surplus to me. There is a 1951 and a 1952, both refurb and both internally pinned. What would be a good price to list them for? The 51 has a chromed bore and bright bayo and the 52 looks to be a non chromed bore with a dull bayo. Stocks are restamped, the 52 has a electro pencil bc and the mags are restamped IIRC. Both are unfired since refurb.

Izzy's do fetch a slight premium as compared to Tula sks's due to the fact that they aren't as common here. They should both have chrome bores BTW.

They are both Tula rifles from the IZH shipment that Ellwood Epps brought in 2008. The exporter forgot to pin the mags so they were done internally in country by welding a limiter on the follower. The mag base is un-altered on these rifles. I think the 1951 has a new barrel on it as they should not be chromed in 1951. The 1952 has a non-chromed barrel.

Ah, I have heard that this means of magazine restriction has weakened the follower bar {by welding a pin} and they have at times broken. This makes your sks's something that I would not consider purchasing regardless of your asking price. I'm really not trying to be a d1ck, I only mean to inform is all. $150-$200 is a fair price IMO.
