Price check K31

[old enfields]

What would you offer for a good to very good K31?

Don't know if the name tag is still there but the screws dont look like they have ever been removed.

Also how rare is 7.5X55mm.

I paid $400.00 for mine and she's a beaut. Blue's 99% and the wood's in amazing shape. Usually comes with a very cool .30 cleaning kit.

GP11 is NON CORROSIVE but is Berdan primed so not reloadable. Comes in a neat-o soft case with the boxes in battle-packs. Like all Swiss made goodies both the rifle and the shells are works of art.

Four digit commercial versions from Hämmerli can double that.

GP11 is NON CORROSIVE but is Berdan primed so not reloadable.

GP11 brass is very reloadable. You just need berdan primers. I've done about 300 rounds so far.

And where the #$%& did you find 0.217" Berdan primers for GP11?

Current commercial source? That 1/2 tin you found in Grandad's reloading box under the dead mouse doesn't count.

GP11 ammo primers are little too expensive so I decide to go with Wolf(russian) cases which accept standard primers.

Wolf 7.5x55 is just rebranded Prvi Partisan. Same NNY headstamps.

on avg about $300. Pretty much what seems to change between the $250 and $400 guns is the bluing and stock condition.

I would be really jealous if my interests were not Lee enfields. Only have two K31's and a K11

I did pick up the front sight adjuster for my K31's. Only the Swiss would make a sight adjustment tool that has more machine work in it than an Enfield rifle

How true. Don't have to worry about some resident of the Kyber Pass or Kush Mountains using a file to make fake K31s. They would die of old age before completion.

BTW: Just ordered another 2000 RWS Berdan primers today, they have stock.
