Hi all, I think it is time to let this one go. Good to very good condition, matching numbers, and kicks like you are holding on to the backside of an angry mule.

I have done some reading, and I see they are going up in price, but I don't want to head over to EE with an unrealistic / arrogant pricing attitude. Hence I wanted to get some idea from the forum experts first.

Now, the Number 4 Irish contract I unwrapped 20+ years ago... that is staying in the safe.

all the best, and thank you
David

Well some poeple have these (no5mk1's) rifles listed at comical prices. A good working matching numbers should be about 450-650$
im sure there are some exceptionally nice ones that could go for more, but a nice matching shooter should be around that price.

Enfields in general are mostly overpriced right now IMHO. Look at all the bumped EE ads and you'll see what I mean. Here's a good example. Not to slander this member but it's a tough sell

Gun shows seem to be no better with outlandish prices for most specimens.
I agree with Evanguy that $450-$650 is reasonable for the right one and the right buyer.
