Hey all,

I know a guy who might be selling a 1943 Nagant revolver.
It's in visibly good shape (some minor, very old pits on the receiver, otherwise great condition).
It also comes with a holster.

What would something like this be worth?

They are selling for around $350 USD in the states at the moment!

So $300 to $400 CAD is a very good price since they almost never last when and if they come up for sale here!
 
They are hard to get. Of course buy as cheap as you can but yes... 300-400 easy. Just cause you can't find one. Not the greatest gun though. But.. if you do buy and find ammo too expensive let me know. I can help you with reloading

I paid last week for two: one Tula and one Izzy nagants 900$. If I want something I do not care about money, will work some extra hours and problem fixed.

This one has the holster and lanyard with it, 1943 Tula manufactured.
I should hopefully be able to get it sub-$300, based on hints that have been dropped.
Is there anything I would want to look for regarding wear or commonly broken components?
 
Sub $300 is a good deal in today's market. The firing pins are almost 8mm long, and can bend. If it's firing it's working.

Based on my experience you probably won't shoot it much, just admire it as part of your collection. It's one of the WORST handguns I've ever fired. 32 pound trigger pull in DA!!
 
You are lucky. I was hunting on EE 4 months and I did not find one under 400$. The offers was betwen 500$ up to 900$ for a Nagant.
 
I also think that any in nice condition under $400 is a good buy as they as seldom seen or sold on the open market now in Canada!

If you think that's high wait until you find Nagant in original nonrefurbed conditition with all matching numbers, then find Imperial officer one in similar condition and finally try to score SA only troops version :)
