Ok guys, my father is looking to sell his old Marlin 336rc .30-30 and we're trying to figure about how much its worth. We checked the serial number and its a 1961 model, The blueing is worn off under the action and worn in parts on the side of the action, and a few spots here and there on the barrel/mag tube. The wood is in good shape as he refinished it years ago with no dings and a good shiny finish. It has an old bushnell 3-9x38 scope and an old worn leather (marlin?) sling. The barrel has a good bore and rifling and is a good shooter. What do you guys figure its worth realistically? Ill see if I can get some pics up later.
Thanks

yup, roughly $300-400... you can ask what you want for it, but i personally wouldn't pay more than $350 for it unless it was in origional mint condition.

I was looking at a winchester model 94 today in 32 special and they were asking 489$ for it. Too rich for my blood but it was in very nice condition. I would imagine you could get 400$ or so for your marlin though if it's in very good shape. That's what i would be willing to pay for such a rifle. I hope you get as much as you can for it. Good luck.
