Price check on 8mm German Mauser

I'm posting this for a guy I work with. He has a 1945 8mm Mauser (made in Germany) with the original cleaning kit, bayonette and an original box of ammo from the same year. All the serial numbers match. He says the condition would be considered very good. No scratches or anything. Sorry but no pics at this time.

Depending on the manufacturer anywhere from $600 up if it is in the condition you say. Can you find out the manufacturer's code on top of the reciever? But can't really say too much w/o pics.

also check the bore and barrel, sometimes the old guns can look like a sewer pipe inside.
