Price check on a Beretta A303, Stevens 311

Davemccarthy 707 First off the 303 is the first series that had interchangebale chokes the earlirer 300-301-302 AL2 were all fisked chokes also the 303 was avalibble in a fixed choke model I never said Win /64 could not shoot steel shot out of his gun he simply implied i said that . I 'm not sure what most guys on this site do for a living but I have been in the fireams industry since 1977 as a Sales rep. warrenty gunsmith and active shooter it is my life not a hobby I do not know everything or have all the answers but I do have a fairly solid background in the fireams industry.

I think you are more right than the others! I have seen several 302s with mobile chokes. Both in 20 gauge. Anyone can shoot steel out of a 303, but that does not mean that it is steel proofed. Some mobile chokes were designed for lead only and the ones that are steel proofed are marked as such. I have also seen more than one modifed mobile choke that has split from regulars steel. As much as I love the old 303, I would only buy one in good shape and then for no more than $300.00. The EE is not a good indicatiion of what a gun is worth, but how much one thinks he can get. Most EE guns are over priced.

I didn't profess to be an expert. If you re-read my post you will see that I only relayed what I have seen. That is by no means the be-all end-all on the subject.
I would love to see a Beretta A303 with its original barrel that has a fixed choke as I have never seen one. I have seen a couple Beretta A302 with the mobil choke and a couple that were fixed full.

I had a 301 with a multi choke barrel but it was not a mobile choke, there was a non threaded tube with a nut on the muzzle that snugged down on the tube. It was stolen before steel came out so it would not have been proofed for steel. Gun prices are somewhat regional with prices higher in some areas than others. I have seen 303's in good condition go for $350 and some in very good condition go for $575. A gun is worth whatever somone will pay, mine always seem woth less when I sell than when I buy :)
