Howdy folks, I have a good friend of mine who has been bugging me to sell him my Savage 111 Long Range Hunter in 338 Lapua Magnum. I wasn't really looking to sell, but as luck would have it, I won a Cadex 338 LM from SFRC sticker draws the other the day. So on the chopping block the Savage goes!

Problem is I have no idea what fair market value would be and I rarely see these guys posted up in the 338 LM flavour.

As for the condition of the rifle, it is in near new condition, no scratches/gouges, 100% finish as it only ever saw the range bench of the padded case. Has a Bushnell Elite Tactical 5-15x40 scope which is also in near new condition. Has 2x Accurate mags for it and a Harris Bipod. Round count is somewhere around the 500 round mark on it....I think. It was expensive to shoot and I didn't have access to long range areas to play with it, so it didn't see a whole lot of use. To be honest, it mostly gets dragged out when I'm going shooting with a couple of buddies who get a rise out shooting a big boomer.

So anyways, I'm looking to see what a fair price would be for the above as described. I'll probably end up giving my friend a bit of a deal on it, but not sure even where to start with this guy.

All help and input are appreciated!

Thanks!

So new $1500 plus $450 for the scope? $2K to replace, it isn’t the one in the H&S precision stock though, right? The special part is 338LM, like lots of cleavage, easy to get distracted and miss the spare tire. It’s a savage with a basic bushy on it. $1200 would be what I would ask. Settle for $1100 shipped Friend price $1K to $900. Take something he doesn’t value and you do in trade and both of you will feel like you won. Say, SKS+$850.

It would sell fast at 800-1000(bought and sold in this range myself) at anything over 1K you would likely sit on it waiting for the right buyer wanting a cheap 338lm rifle and that’s not common because it’s a cheap gun with expensive ass Ammo.

You're right, its the accustock, not the HS Precision. And right again that its a cheapy rifle in the 338 LM market. Those prices came in right around where I was expecting, maybe a touch lower than I had in mind, but you guys make a compelling argument.

Thanks for the help fellas!
