price check on enfield carbine

Just found a "for officer use" commerical lee enfield carbine,fitted for bayonet.
You can see it on top on page 9 of the 1912 BSA catalog.

I need to know a realistic price to make the guy an offer.He is quite elderly and I don't want to take avantage of him.
25 years collecting I never seen one for sale.
any ideas??

Well the one catalogue says price is $135.

I would say at least $800 if it's in good shape.
