Price check on IMI Timberwolf 357 magnum

Hi all,

A family friend has offered me an IMI Timberwolf pump action 357 magnum rifle and has asked me to "Name my price". I understand that amongst some, these are collectable, and I want to offer a reasonable price (he's not trying to make a profit, so I could offer below market value, but I don't want to lowball him).

I've only seen one for sale at Epps a few months back, in 44 mag, and it sold in an instant at $400ish. What would be the going rate for a 357 mag in VG condition?

These were very well made firearms, owned one back around 1991..never had a problem with it. $ 400 is a steal, paid more than that new. If it is the nickel version grab it for sure.

I have been looking for one for 15+yrs. Then, I actually saw one. Thanks to a fella with a good damn memory.
I paid 750 or so (cant really remember exactly). Re; its quality, Id buy it another fifteen times.
In 44, good luck on finding one.

Yes, I saw that one on Epps and phoned... just after it was bought! A very good deal at $400 for the .44 as there are very few around.
