I have a Marlin X7 in 243 and it is just like Ted says they are.
Only regret I can think of with a Marlin, was a beautiful old 336 in 30-30 I had and a friend talked me into selling it to him! Every Marlin I have had has been very accurate, including the 1895 45-70.
I also have a 336 in 35 Remington which was made in 1957/58 and has scarcely been shot. I got with it a box of Dominion 35 R ammo, with one shell missing, which had a country store price tag of $5.45 on it. Not saying it only fired one shot before I got it, but the fellow that bought it new said he carried it hunting, but almost never shot it. It's a beautiful slick action rifle that is living up to the accuracy of Marlins.
I am keeping it hid from Kamlooky, for fear he tries to talk me out of it!
