Hi,

Just a quick question if someone could give me a hint on
what is a reasonable price for a used Marlin XL7s (stainless) in VG condition?

Thanks.

If this helps at all, I grabbed an X7VH (blued) for $319 before taxes and shipping. I have no clue what a stainless goes for. Mine is the extra heavy and long varmint barrel and it was new. BTW, fantastic accuracy out of the box. Strapped on a cheap 3-9 bushnell and was within 6" of point of aim after just bore sighting (100m). 1" groups after initial adjustment.

gt,

Every Marlin X7 rifle I have owned, from 243 to 30-06, has been very accurate, and functioned properly. They have a good stock, with a real recoil pad, and a great trigger!

What is it that concerns you about them?
Ted

Well Ted, every marlin I have owned should have been left in the store for someone other than me to buy.I try not to make that mistake again.

I have a Marlin X7 in 243 and it is just like Ted says they are.
Only regret I can think of with a Marlin, was a beautiful old 336 in 30-30 I had and a friend talked me into selling it to him! Every Marlin I have had has been very accurate, including the 1895 45-70.
I also have a 336 in 35 Remington which was made in 1957/58 and has scarcely been shot. I got with it a box of Dominion 35 R ammo, with one shell missing, which had a country store price tag of $5.45 on it. Not saying it only fired one shot before I got it, but the fellow that bought it new said he carried it hunting, but almost never shot it. It's a beautiful slick action rifle that is living up to the accuracy of Marlins.
I am keeping it hid from Kamlooky, for fear he tries to talk me out of it!
