I think its time I sell my rare Remington 541-T-Heavy Barrel.
Its a very nice looking rifle but i don't use it, in fact its unfired by me.
Its in complete original condition.

Its in VG+ condition, barrel looks like new, blueing in VG+ and stock have very few light marks on it.
Chekering is also sharp.

The only problem with it, there is only one action screw.
You can feel there is some play between the stock and action ( very minor but you can feel it ).
Most guys i saw on the net add another action screw and/or a bedding.

So what do you think the value is ( rifle and EGW 20 moa rail ) ?

The HB were made from 1993 to 1999, not rare but you have to look for one if you want it. They sell for $500 or so in the US on Gunbroker in excellent condition, and NIB $600 and change.
Here...I dunno, $450 would be optimistic when a new CZ is around $500 if someone wants pretty wood and steel.
The sporters have a history of shooting better then the HB's and are usually more desirable. The trigger and mags are poor design and usually what people gripe about with these.

I also have a CZ452 Varmint but I found hard to compare them.
The Remington is much more beautifull, stock is alot nicer, blueing is darker and deeper and they don't come out too often on the market.
CZ's have very good value and they are very accurate rifles and they are also everywhere.

I also forget to say I have 3X 5 rounds and 2X 10 rounds mags in VG condition.
I must admit these are not the best design i've seen !

At 450$, I will keep it...
There is no way I will find a nicer .22 at 450 bucks.
But thanks for the input Hitzy !

Anyone else ?

I have both the S & H, I paid $400 each. There was one at the Consort gun show that sold for 400 in about 2 min. They have been listed for $800 a few times. Not sure if a search in EE will turn up any thing. I might sell one at 800, but sure as hell not at 4 or 5. They are a great gun and have a lot of class. Just wish Rem had better mags. Steel ones are on the planning table.

it is in nice shape but thy are not rare ,I would not pay 450$ for it ,but someone may ,,put it up on the exchange for 550 or 600$ and see what the market will bring ,,Dutch

Had one in sporter weight, sold it for $500, but it was more used than yours.
there was one on the ee a few weeks back listed at $550, it took a bump on the thread before it went away, dunno for how much it sold tho.
I agree that sporter weight are more desirable.
Best advice has already been said:
Put it up at your price and see.

Great input guys !

I'm on the fence right now... Should I sell it or I keep it, add another action screw and a bedding job and see what it can do.
At around 500$, i might keep it... Especially when i see NS522's for sale a 350$ !

NIB=450 Exc=350 VG=300 Good=250 Fair=200 Poor= 125

According to the 24 the catalog price and reference guide *2014*.

It does seem a little on the low end but keep in mind its a US book :) .

That's the trick. Dont put it on the EE because you have to put a price, put it up this way and wait for the highest offer.
BTW Gun Digest price book says $450 nib $350 ex

If an item is sold like this and not through the EE, CGN admin will not intervene if the deal goes south, fraud, etc.
