Price check on rem "police"

Just wanting to know what an older Remington police is worth. Barrel has been set back, lugs lapped, glass bedded and a trigger job. Thinking about buying it off my buddy.

WHO KNOWS, you need far more info. If the barrel is set back it's rechambered, why?? What caliber and how many rounds fired??? What is the overall condition??

It hasn't been shot much the barrel was set back to have a shorter thoat. The rifle is a known shooter.

Price 4 years ago was about $1000 (+-$50) and the last I saw were going for about $1150 ish in 308/223 new. $750 looks good to me (my OPINION) but see if he'll let you take it for a test drive just to be sure it is a "known shooter" and doesn't have any feed problems. If you can remove the stock check for "junk" underneath.

Is it a LTR 20" barrel or the 26"? What caliber?
