I am looking for the value of this winchester model 12 with a simmons rib. Dual bead, it is high gloss finish which in in very good shape. There is some very little bluing loss near the back of the receiver where your hand goes. Also there is a small crack on the tang of the stock near the receiver. The rest is A+.

Can anyone tell me what the value of this model 12 would be.

$400-$450 at the high end more like $350 -$400 realistically Simmons did a nice build on model 12's nice butt stock to bad about the crack. Apparently these prices are incorrect we will see.

I'd say easy $500 given the condition.

From the shape of the rib posts and sandblasting on the top of the receiver, looks
to me like one of the Northview Industries (Simmons) instalations done here by gunsmith Dean Volhoffer in the 70's early 80's, with (after-market ?) wood someone has refinished.

A little "crazy glue" run into the crack in the stock may stop it from going further.

Nice old shooter.

Even so ... I'd look for a replacement buttstock. A much superior pump to what's
out there on today's market.

That being said other than the 28ga the selling price on these have dropped well over 25% in Canada in the past 7 or so years. Don't know why but just know from selling some they have dropped big time. Plus I had some real minty high grade examples and even those way down.
