Price Check: Steyr M95 8mm

Full military or sporter? How is the bore? is it an "M95 M" ? If so, is the enbloc clip in the magazine? is the extractor intact?

Is this steyr in
8x50
8x56
8x57 (mauser)

Also is it a sporter, full wood, mismatched?

Need more information because right now we sit at a estimate of 75$ to 600$

Full military. Recover said m95. It was about 30" barrel. Extractor looked intact. No idea on enbloc clip, no bayonet but there was a lug. Also not 100% on caliber guy said it looked identical tos 30-06. So I'm assuming probably 8mm. I know I'm not much help but that is all I know.

Wow - lots of vague here. Condition is "ok"? Is it truly in full military?

If it's a 30" ish barrel, then it's not in 8X57, because it's a rifle, not a carbine. It's 95% likely to be in 8X56R, which looks nothing like 30-06, but to a newbie it could.

Price will be at most $300, maybe a lot less. Sorry I can't be more specific.

Is there an "S" on the barrel, just behind the rear sight ? If so, then the caliber is 8x56R. There is also the slim chance it is 8x50R if the "S" is not there. Either way, you need an en-bloc clip to fire the rifle as single loading will damage the extractor.

If the barrel is 30" then it is likely not an M95M as those barrels are ~ 25".

You did not mention if it is full military but that the bayonet lug is present so she may not be sportered.

Pictures and more information would help determine the value.

Does she resemble this rifle by chance ?
