I looked at a few handguns today that are for sale, and I wanted to ask if anyone has some ballpark ideas what they might be worth. Unfortunately, photos are not available. Here are some descriptions:

1. Mk VI Webley in .455, about 70% original blueing left, mechanically tight, super bore, broad arrow marked as well as sold out of service mark, dated 1917 with dark brown leather holster. Holster appears correct for the pistol but has no markings whatsoever.

2. P08 Luger, dated 1936, toggle marked S42, overall 80%-90% original blue, excellent bore, all frame and barrel numbers match, toggle parts all match but don't match with frame, aluminum based magazine not matching, with original holster, belt, and probably original buckle - buckle is sheet metal with embossed eagle, swastika, wreath - the set was supposedly a vet bring back.

3. FN Belgian High Power (not Inglis) slotted for shoulder stock, tangent rear sight, about 75% original finish, with wooden stock/holster complete with leather wrap/belt loop, bore very good, numbers matching on pistol and stock. Stock seems quite a bit longer than the stocks for the Inglis.

I understand pricing is very difficult without photos or more details, but general ballpark is all I'm looking for at this point. Thanks.

Canuck - the stock on the Hi Power is very similar to the Inglis stocks - hollow with a hinged butt to store the pistol inside. The overall length seemed a little longer than the Inglis stock, and it was serial numbered to the pistol. Sorry, I didn't write down the number.

Interesting.

As I stated, I am not aware of any Belguim High Powers using the Inglis type holster/stock setups (other than a mention of some experimental types in Blake Stevens book) - could it be a Mauser stock?

Reason I ask about the serial number - a four digit, tangent sight High Power is likely to be a pre-war model - not very common and quite desirable as a collectable (although a pre-war fixed sight is even less common)
I own the one below, and I would hope that I could get in excess of $1000 for it if I were to sell it. It has the slotted backstrap, but I don't own a board stock for it (looking to buy if anyone has one for sale!)

I may get a chance within the next week or so to get back and take another look. If the owner doesn't mind, I'll post a few photos up and see what all of you think.
