Looking for a ballpark price on my Win 94 AE Wrangler II big loop in .38-55. Its early to mid 80s as far as I know or. Not at home to check the serial number at the moment. What is the going price on these?

Well BGM, I hope you hadn't planned on retiring after selling this rifle. It is a short modern 1894 in an odd cartridge. Good luck getting $700.

pluses - it is a modern WRA lever action, so you won't feel like you're disgracing Great Uncle Randolph the family hunting legend, if you drop if out of the tree stand
- the steel will be reliable compared to antique metallurgy
- handy length for taking into the pucker brush and black spruce

minuses - it is a modern WRA lever action
- they made to sell as many as they could to sell as fast as possible
- the cartridge is an odd-ball, even if it is a nice combination of calibre and capacity. For an 1800s survivor, it's not doing too badly but there are better choices
- open sights, so you're shooting up close and fast

I'm no expert, but I suspect this actually has pretty good collector value - I think only a relatively small number of these were made.

Even as a shooter, sure it's post 64 but AE means it has the better receiver etc..
