Well BGM, I hope you hadn't planned on retiring after selling this rifle. It is a short modern 1894 in an odd cartridge. Good luck getting $700.
pluses - it is a modern WRA lever action, so you won't feel like you're disgracing Great Uncle Randolph the family hunting legend, if you drop if out of the tree stand
- the steel will be reliable compared to antique metallurgy
- handy length for taking into the pucker brush and black spruce
minuses - it is a modern WRA lever action
- they made to sell as many as they could to sell as fast as possible
- the cartridge is an odd-ball, even if it is a nice combination of calibre and capacity. For an 1800s survivor, it's not doing too badly but there are better choices
- open sights, so you're shooting up close and fast
