An "as new" Savage 99 in 308? Bare rifle. 1972 yom.

As new? Id pay $650 for a rotary mag and no crack. I'd pay a little more if it's the pistol grip version with 2 panel checkering and steel butt and grip cap.
They happen to be one of the best levers ever made.

Here is a pic sent to me. no additional info, yet. My limited knowledge of these tells me it is a "C". As it has a clip, (I think). Yes, I know, it is a detachable magazine. But don't tell Savage that.

Ahh, apparently "c" models are among the least colectable for the very reason they are called 99 c,the detached mag. Still worth $450-500 plus or minus 50 from what i understand. Depends how much someone wants it. My father had one. Nice rifle and shot well. heavier than my rotary mag model if i remember right.

would be worth more without the sling swivels...and may be an "M" designation...good hunting rifle if you are a .308 fan.
