Hey guys...........

I might be parting with a few old friends and wanted to get an idea of value.

Item #1

Savage Built Enfield No 4 Mk 1 *. I believe this is an UNFIRED model. All matching, excellent condition.

#2. Jungle Carbine. Falky Feb 1945 again in excellent condition. Little or no use.

Daddy has his eye on a new toy.............

And what did Marstar have on display that caught your fancy?
The Savage should bring $500, up, in that condition. The No. 5 probably about the same. This assumes that they are really nice.

If it's truly in the condition you describe with the all the correct Savage markings, such as the one in the Milsurp Knowledge Libraryhttp://www.milsurps.com/forumdisplay.php?f=12, then I think if you write up the correct ad, it could easily sell for a lot more than $500. There's a number of collectors in Canada currently looking for these specific pieces to round out their Enfield collections.

1943 No.4 Mk1* Enfield (.303) Rifle (Unfired)
(Mfg under Lend Lease Act by Savage in 1943)

I have handled the one illustrated in BadgerDog's photo essay, and it is an outright superior specimen, absolutely correct, in the "up" category. A friend has one of these still in the wrap and such a rifle might well be worth a premium; then there is the debate about whether it should be unwrapped or not.
