Just wondering about the value of 3 guns Im getting readybto sell privately to a friend...I want to know the vale because I am giving him a deal, but I need a estimate cost of ech gun before a sell them to be sure I dont ask too much or too little....although my friend is not reliable and if he doesnt buy these guns, I will end up listing them here..this is the guns:

1. Winchester model 100 semi auto 308 with bushnell 1.5x5 scopechief mounted. This gun has 1 mag, its about 35-40 years old, but its in excellent condition..about 90%-95% perfect and is quite accurate.

2. Lee Enfield 303 bolt action sporterized. I believe its a 1941 year made in the UK... It looks to be in good overal condition wirh usual hunting wear, and shoots good, however it has a sporter stock

3. Lee Enfield 303 that I believe its from the ww1 era made in ishapore...looks like a bush beater but still cycles and shoots good.

This was my estimate, but please correct me if my price estimate is wrong:
1. Winchester semi auto 308 wirh scope = $500 (the gun works great, looks like new, and has a nice older scope)
2. 1941 UK made enfield thats in good condition but has a sporter stock = $150
3. WW1 ishapore enfield.. shoots good, but dont look good..fair condition = $100

Regarding your Mod.100, I believe that there was a factory available part to correct a problem in those rifles. Someone may chime in with more information, or you may be able to find it on Google. If your rifle hasn't had that work done, you may have to adjust the price down.

The model 100's had a firing pin recall. I am doing one right now. Send firing pin to Winchester in IL, they send it back and I install it. If you are not mechanically inclined it is a pain to take apart. If you are it isn't terrible, just a pain. Other choice is to get a gunsmith to take it apart but to me the cost would be prohibitive. Even without the recall if the gun is in really nice condition I feel $500 ish is a fair price. It's all about the condition!! At $500 if it's in good condition I would hazard a guess that in one day it would be sold. Could be wrong but I doubt it. If you want to know more about the recall pls PM me. Would be happy to provide more detail.

Thaks for the confirmation on my estimates of each guns value.

The winchester model 100 does have a new firing pin, because the previous owner gave me a couple of parts with the rifle.that where spare parts (but useless). He gave me a ziplock bag with the original firing pin because it has a new diring pin inside the bolt. He also gave me a spare magazine, that does not feed properly and constantly jams at the worst moments...like deer hunting. Last year I could not get a round chambered after unloding the rifle to carry the gun in a gun boot on my atv. I am a machinist and do some gunsmithing in my workshop/machine shop at home. I spend countless hours attemptingbto fix the mag, but had no luck...anyways, that old spare mag is gone now because after I failed to chamber a round to get a nice 8 point buck, I proceeded to throw the lousy magazine into into a beaver pond. The other mag is flawless, just like the gun.

I also decided not to post pics because I didnt want anyone to speculate that the guns are for sale...atleast not yet.

And this isn't the forum to sell them in either...

I sympathize on your magazine problem. Nothing so frustrating as trying to fix a magazine. I have ended up with an ax and a chopping block with the last Savage magazine I tried to fix.
