Price for BNIB Remington 870P with 14" barrel?

So a friend of mine is getting rid of some things and one is this 870P with a Remington 14" barrel. He's had it a long time and it's still in the original box, never fired. I've never seen a 14" Remington barrel, only the 18".

Any ideas what would be a fair price for it?

Ha you disagree I see. I should have clarified - if its a mod choked Remington barrel and not a DA/Dlask, buy it. They aren't common up here anymore at all. Unless a new batch came in the last few years and my numbers are way out... That's what it used to be worth...

I sold my used 870P for $725 with the wood grips and 18" barrel so I don't see how this could be worth any less. Thanks

I'm sorry, I totally read things the wrong way here. I thought it was for the barrel only. No doubt it's a rarity and would bring decent coin from a motivated buyer.

Probably worth more than that if it's a Police model with a 14 inch factory barrel, very scarce guns - strangely even more scarce in the US. How many folks here have ever seen an 870 Police with a factory 14 inch tube - the box should specify barrel config - make sure the gun matches the box tag.
