Gentlemen,

I need your advice. I have been offered a couple of Browning HP, both are Belgian made in very good to excellent condition; bores are like if never been fired. One has an adjustable rear sigh and the other the regular fixed. They don't seem to be of recent manufacture.

What would be a reasonable price for each one of them?

Thanks for any input.

I agree with ipscgraz's suggestions. If either or both are worth it to you, those would be reasonable prices.

My HiPower is blued with wood grips and adjustable sights, v. good condition, "Made in Belgium Assembled in Portugal. I got it for less than $700 because it sat on offer in the EE for a while. If I'd had the money, I'd have happily bought it sooner when the price was higher.

Do you have any more details about the HP?

Generally, the older guns go for more, the Brownings made and assembled in Belgium go for more(not that theres anything wrong with the Portuguese assembled ones),and the T series Brownings from the 60s seem to be very sought after.Hi Power prices, esp for the older Belgium Brownings seem to have gone crazy in the last while

Still,if you are patient and look around you can still find some good deals.I bought a 82 "Sport" model in almost mint condition awhile back for $625.It sat on the EE for quite a few weeks. It seems that the modern plastic guns seel abit quicker than these old classics!

Unfortunately I don’t have more details about these Brownings other from the fact that they look really brand new in every respect.

I spoke today with the owner and he already sold the one with fixed sights for $475 and wants $650 for the one with adjustable sights (I suppose, this must be the sports Model). I immediately asked him to put it on hold for me.

I’ll stop by tomorrow to purchase it.

Thanks gentlemen for your advice.
