Price for New Ruger GP 100 Blued 6"

Checking price for a NIB Ruger GP 100. I am new to handguns and a guy at my gun club has one he says he has never shot and would like $475 for it, is that a good price if it is truly NIB - I have not seen it yet.

I've seen them at gun stores for about $499 for the blued model and $599 for the stainless.

I had seen this stainless steel model on a USA online-auction site starting at $400.00 (USA currency obviously).

Thanks for info, I phoned them and they are $550. So if this truly is NIB, I will see it next week, the price seems reasonable at $475.
