Price Match Policy, Reliable Gun

I have purchased from reliable gun and the transaction went smoothly.

That said, I don't see that this is a policy per se. A policy tends to be definite. This strikes me as somewhat qualified by the "whenever possible" and other restrictions. Who determines when something is possible?

Hypothetically: Store A sells a magazine for $20. Reliable sells the exact same magazine for $30. I call up reliable and ask for a price match. Reliable agrees to the match. I've now given up the right to exchanges or refunds on unused or defective product and for what? The exact same price that I could've gotten at store A? Why wouldn't I deal with the guy who is working on tighter margins to give consumers the lowest price?

Stores don't get to say "final sale" on DOA product and I am skeptical of those stores who attempt to do so. Buying from a store that does that doesn't make sense to me.

Hey there FF,

I hear exactly where you are coming from. How we do our business dealings and my definition of "Whenever Possible" is when all parties benefit. If someone wins and someone losses it is an unhealthy business transaction.

Those clauses/ restrictions are there because sometimes another vendor will sell a product below cost just to recoup some of their investment if they want to get rid of it or a vendor might have purchased something years ago at a lower cost and stronger dollar while we are paying the current market cost and we would lose money making that deal. We try to treat everyone as best we can and make sure everything goes well but we also can't run a business and lose money. We aren't perfect but I've always tried to everything in my power to make sure things go well and to do the right thing when issues occur. At the same time there are a rare few people that do try to take advantage of the business and we also need to make sure that we protect ourselves.

If ever there is an issue, big or small you can reach me at Nick@reliablegun.com.

I hope that answers your questions, if it doesn't feel free to reach out to me anytime.

Regards,
Nicholas Chee

Hey guys,

I've had quite a few people asking and just to clarify again. The matched price must be a current price from a shop with them in stock. We're doing our best to be fair to everyone.

Thanks again to everyone who has given us the opportunity so far! I hope you enjoy your Guns and ammo!

Well put response. The way i look at it, everytime i need something, i always shop the best price. Then i give Shane at Reliable a call. i ask him if he'd be willing to match the price for what i saw at ###x... if he says no, than i know it's hellava deal. If he says yes, than i give him my credit card. So simple.

We've had a bunch of great inquiries lately and I'm glad we were able to help!

Always something to keep in mind and it never hurts to ask.
