Hello,

I have for sale a HAKIM, caliber is 8mm mauser, will post pic later on EXCHANGE forum but need to know or have a idea of the price of the gun first.

The blue and the wood are good condition, almost like new only normal wear from handling for hunting

Let me know, i have search on this forum but not a lot about Hakim

Thank's

I'll do you a favour, you give me $25 and I'll take it off your hands.

Should be close to the price of a Ljungeman

It all depends on the way it has been handled.
If shot with corrosive ammo, have the barrel and gas system been cleaned accordingly?
One place to look for rust is inside the expansion chamber at the muzzle; lift the small spring retainer from its groove and unscrew the muzzle brake unit. That place is almost never cleaned and it corrodes easily. Corroded = -$...
Has the stock been sanded and refinished? if yes = -$
If the rifle hasn't been drilled and tapped for scope mounting (very difficult on a Ljungmann design) and the rifle is in "as issued and used" state, you can expect around $300.00-$375.00 for a regular specimen in good shape.

I'm going to disagree. I saw two Hakim's for sale at Victoria gunshows, where prices are the highest in North America.

Both were less than $250.
One was in good shape, and $175. The other was in very good shape and was $225.

I wouldn't pay more than $275 for the nicest Hakim.

Well, as things go these days, I would gladly pay $275.00 for a very nice Hakim. The same for an M-39 or a good LongBranch No.4Mk1, a "just-slightly-butchered" Ross. Make it $300.00 for a VZ-52/57 or, wowee, a clean and complete Rashid for that price...
So, how come I have to live with higher prices? even collecting old Finn Mosins has become expensive this here year...
oh, well...

sold mine last year on CGN...

I think i got something like 350?...it also included the bayonet...
I had looked at gun reviews on the internet and this gun seemed to be quite appreciated of shooters...a husky rifle...I would not let it go for under 350 even without the bayonet...

Yes, the Hakim is a "gentle giant": it is a good shooter with a great trigger and very low recoil, even with hot-loaded 8mm ammo.
It is murder on brass however, like its parent, the Swedish Ljungman.
It can also be really loud for someone standing beside it, even with muffs.
